One of the activities of the ULM Faculty of Engineering's Information Technology Study Program, namely Community Service, held a Training Webinar on Preparing Information Technology-Based Student Learning Evaluations on Thursday (6/8/2020). Secretary of the Study Program and resource person for this activity, Ir. Yuslena Sari, S.Kom., M.Kom., IPM said that this activity is Community Service (PKM) which is one of the tridharmas in higher education. According to him, the aim of this activity is to provide knowledge to teachers about the position of Indonesian education in the eyes of the world, and how to evaluate student learning outcomes by applying High Order Thinking Skills.
This webinar also presented how to make learning evaluations on several alternative IT-based platforms which were practiced directly by Mr. Andreyan Rizky Baskara, S.Kom., M.Kom and Mrs. Muti'a Maulida, S.Kom., M.Kom. The urgency is that during this Covid era, training like this is very necessary because learning activities at schools are temporarily implementing learning from home.
"Therefore, teachers really need training to evaluate their students without meeting face to face and only through technological media," he said.
There were 116 teachers who registered participants, coming from various regions, not only South Kalimantan but also Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Java and Sulawesi. Participants were very enthusiastic about participating with many interactive questions from participants to resource persons. And participants also asked to hold training like this again.
"We hope that teachers can broaden their knowledge about Information Technology and the results of this training can be useful in learning activities in their respective schools, and we also hope that future training will be implemented soon, namely training for teachers resulting from collaboration with Google," he hoped.
