PRESS RELEASE INDONESIAN STUDENT MINING COMPETITION 11TH Bandung, 3-11 February 2018
The ISMC activity is a prestigious event for Mining Engineering students in Indonesia which is held every 2 years at ITB Bandung.
This activity aims to prepare the quality of mining students for global competition so that it is very necessary to be able to improve their abilities, skills and expertise as stakeholders in the mining industry in the future and exchange every idea they have in mind for a better mining future.
ISMC Activities 11th 2018 was combined with several student activities such as:

ISMC Activities 11th packaging the basic principles of practical knowledge in the field of mining into a competition that requires basic knowledge, thinking, initiative, agility and skills of students so that it becomes an interesting competition event to show off the skills of students from various universities that major in mining engineering. At that time, ULM was represented by 1 team (Figure 1)

FT ULM Mining Engineering students have participated in this event since 2008, the highest achievement ever achieved was 2nd place in General.
On ISMC 11th In 2018, the position of Mining Engineering students at FT ULM was again ranked in the top 5 with medals (Figure 2):
1 Gold Medal for Mine Surveying
1 Silver Medal for Swede Sawing & Rail Settling
1 Silver Medal for Mine Evacuation Recue

With this medal, the FT ULM Mining Engineering TEAM succeeded in improving its position to 4th place. Meanwhile, 1st to 3rd place was held by the Mining Engineering Team: 1st place (ITB), 2nd place (UNMUL) and 3rd place (UNSRI).
The Mining Engineering Study Program will always provide the best support and learning by carrying out internal training and training for students, either through collaboration programs with PPSDM ESDM or implemented independently at the Faculty of Engineering to improve the quality of graduates so they can compete with other universities that have the same major. .
