After completing the procession of sending off 176 new Masters and Bachelors, the Dean of FT ULM Dr Bani Noor Muchamad immediately returned to the ULM Faculty of Engineering Campus in Banjarbaru. However, in the midst of his busy schedule, the dean of FT ULM today also took the time to inaugurate the management of student organizations within the scope of FT ULM. The process of this inauguration was divided into 2 sessions, in the first session the management of student organizations at the Faculty level who were members of 5 Student Activity Units (namely Mapala FT ULM, FKI Ash-Shirath, ArtPedia, Orbit, and Teknika Scholar) were inaugurated simultaneously in the FT Meeting Room ULM. After the inauguration ceremony was over and there was a short break, it was continued with the inauguration of the administrators of 7 student organizations at the study program level who are members of the Student Association (HMS, Himars, Himasapta, Himatekkim, Himateklink, HMTM, and HMTI) at Plaza FT ULM.
In his address at the inauguration of the UKM management, the Dean of FT ULM, Dr. Bani Noor Muchamad, who on this occasion was accompanied by the Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, said that the work program of each UKM could be aligned with the vision and mission of the institution, both Lambung Mangkurat University and the Faculty of Engineering. The synergy that has so far been built between the Faculty of Engineering and existing UKM must be further enhanced, especially in increasing student achievement which supports accreditation and the tri-dharma of higher education.
Meanwhile, at the inauguration of the Student Association administrators, the Dean of FT emphasized more on student involvement in improving supporting hard-skills and soft-skills. Not to forget on this occasion, the Dean reminded each HIMA to develop its innovation and creativity in developing the ETP (Engineering Techno Park). As is known, ETP is an area to the northwest of the main campus of the Faculty of Engineering which is allocated for students to develop soft-skills/life-skills which are directly related to the hard-skills of each existing study program. The development of the ETP area is expected to be able to replace the role of the SLC (Student Learning Center), which has not yet been realized, even though it was planned several years ago.
