On May 9 2018, the Professional Engineer Study Program held an inauguration of the Engineer profession for Period 1, odd semester 2017/2018 for a total of 63 first generation students. Present at the inauguration event, ULM Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sutarto Hadi, M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr.-Ing. Yulian Firmana Arifin, ST., MT., IPM., PII General Chair Dr. Ir. A. Hermanto Dardak, IPU., and Head of PS PPI Prof. Dr. Rusdi HA., M.Sc., IPU.

Also present at the event were invited guests including the Chairman of LPJK South Kalimantan, Ir. Subhan Syarif, MT., Chair of PII South Kalimantan Region Prof. Dr. Ir. Ismed Ahmad, M.Sc., and PII Banjarmasin Branch Manager Ir. Ahmad Husani, MT. and Ir. Yuzar.

The Oath-taking of the Engineer's Code of Ethics for 63 students was carried out by the General Chairperson of PII Dr. A. Hermanto Dardak, M.Sc., IPU.

The General Chair of PII also handed over Associate Professional Engineer Certificates to 10 PS PII students.
