The Mechanical Engineering Study Program is one of the study programs under the scope of the Faculty of Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University. The Mechanical Engineering Study Program was established on 19 October 2006. The implementation of this educational program was established with the permission of the Minister with Establishment Decree Number: 3964/D/T/2003 19 October 2006, currently the Mechanical Engineering Study Program is accredited C based on the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN -PT) based on BAN-PT decision No: 846/SK/BAN-PT/AKRED/S/VIII/2015. The number of people interested in the Mechanical Engineering study program increases every year, but the capacity that can be accepted by the study program is limited. In 2018, the number of applicants was 500 people while the capacity was 40 people. The total number of Mechanical Engineering students is 266 people.
Currently the mechanical engineering study program is led by Achmad Kusairi Samlawi. ST., MT., MM as head of the Mechanical Engineering study program. The vision of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program is "To become a superior and competitive study program in the development of science and engineering in the field of mechanical engineering based on wetland environments by 2030."
