Friday, 22 Feb 2019, an initial presentation was held on the preparation of the master plan for the Cempaka area, Banjarbaru City. This activity is a self-managed collaboration between Barenlitbangda Banjarbaru and the ULM Faculty of Engineering.
In accordance with the main tasks and field of planning studies, this activity is carried out by the Housing and Settlement Laboratory, Vernacular Architecture Lab, Digital Architecture Studio and Architectural Design Studio in the Architecture Study Program. Apart from the team of lecturers according to the KBK, there were also collaborations between several thesis students and Field Work Practice course students.
This initial presentation was attended by the Head of Bapedda, Head of Cempaka Subdistrict, PUPR Service (Water Resources, Human Settlements, Spatial Planning), Housing & Settlements, Environment Service (Waste Sub-Directorate), BPKAD Service (Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency, Industry and Trade Department, Energy Urban planner expert Kotaku OSP 6 South Kalimantan and the Banjarbaru City Slum Free City Team.
In his remarks as an introduction to the presentation, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering said that the Faculty was fully committed to assisting the planning of the Cempaka Area through Research and Community Service programs across study programs within the FT ULM environment. This is a manifestation of one of the Faculty's missions to build cooperation with the government in solving regional development problems.
