The VIII Annual Seminar Activities of the Civil Engineering Undergraduate and Masters Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University is a routine activity program held by FT ULM every year since 2014. This activity aims to broaden the knowledge of students, lecturers and the general public regarding the field of civil engineering. Starting in 2020, the National Seminar will be held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic which is occurring not only in Indonesia but also throughout the world.

The VIII Annual National Web Seminar with the theme "Innovative Strategies for Facing Climate Challenges in Water Resources Management and Flood and Drought Disaster Management" is a Work Program from Division 2 (Education and Research) of the Civil Student Association, Faculty of Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University. This activity is scheduled according to the original schedule prepared by the organizing committee of the Civil Student Association, Faculty of Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University for the 2021 period. This activity was carried out via Zoom Meeting on October 18 2021

This activity was attended by the Head of the Kalimantan River Region Hall III Mr. Fikri Abdurrachman, ST, M. Sc., Chair of the Research and Service Institute. This activity was attended by the Head of the Kalimantan River Region III Hall Mr. Fikri Abdurrachman, ST, M. Sc., Chair of the Research Institute and Community Service Mr. Prof. Dr. H. Danang Biyatmoko, M. Si., Deputy Dean 1 for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University, Mr. Prof. Meilana Dharma Putra, ST, M. Sc., Ph. D., Coordinator of the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University, Mr. Dr. Muhammad Arsyad, ST, MT, and lecturers from the Bachelor of Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University.

The resource persons in the VIII Annual National Web Seminar consisted of 3 (three) Main Speakers. The list of resource persons is as follows.
1. Governor of South Kalimantan Province, represented by Mr. H. Faried Fakhmansyah, SP. MP., as Expert Staff to the Governor for Economic Affairs and Development of South Kalimantan Province.
2. Directorate General of Water Resources, Ministry of PUPR, represented by Mr. Dr. Leo Eliasta, ST, M. Sc., as Head of the Sub-Directorate of River and Coastal Technical Planning.
3. Mrs. Ir. Ulfa Fitriati, ST, M.Eng., IPM., as Lecturer in Civil Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University.

The VIII Annual National Web Seminar activity was attended by undergraduate/postgraduate/doctoral students, lecturers, government agencies, academics, construction experts, the general public and civil society involved in this seminar as well as other invitees. With the number of participants registering 351 people and 39 teams of speakers. Hopefully this activity can broaden the insight of students and the community and can apply the knowledge gained to life in society.
